| Description | In private practice for more than ten (10) years, Matthew provides multi-disciplinary legal services to a wide variety of individuals and corporations throughout Canada and abroad, and acts as Canadian legal counsel and trade-mark agent for law firms throughout the United States of America andin the United Kingdom. Matthew started as a lawyer at a large Toronto-based law firm, where he helped clients with matters ranging from dispute resolution to complex commerical transactions and acted as Associate Liaison to the Partners and Government Liaison. He later worked as a sole practioner and then as Managing Partner of a small Oakville-based boutique firm. Now at Soble, Rickards & Associates, which he founded with his colleague and friend, David Rickards, Matthew continues to help clients, from long-time to new, focusing primarily on corporate/commercial law, employment law, franchise law, entertainment and sports law, intellectual property law and technology law, and serving as the firm’s Managing Principal. Matthew is also a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Halton County Law Association and the Sigma Chi Fraternity Bar Association, and is also a long-time member of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Matthew earned his Bachelor of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Osgoode Hall Law School. |
