For my promotion to Level 6 Google Reviewer (post- this review), I wanted to write a review on SOCAN Music. This organization took me in as family and treated me with the utmost respect. The professionalism and courtesy found in the staff at SOCAN is truly humbling. They meet celebrities and artists alike on a daily basis, yet not an ounce of pretentious behaviour in them. Everything negative or positive trickles down from the executive level. In this case, it’s been the latter. I’ve met the A&R’s, and senior management at SOCAN who were helpful and delighted to speak with. They always want the best for the artist. Their Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Jeff King at SOCAN is rock solid and a major driving force to the organization. I’ve seen and heard it with my own eyes and ears. The fact that he tries to help deserving people even with his immensely busy schedule, is quite telling about SOCAN at large. The organization is filled with resourceful and intelligent people. I cannot stress how important it is for Canadian artists to become members of SOCAN. A truly impeccable organization and deserve all the praises. FYI— They put on events and opportunities throughout the year to propel the careers of their members. 5 Stars ???????????????????? for ALWAYS putting the artist, writers and members first. Thank you so much for everything. #salute -Khanartist

The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada is a performance rights organization that was founded in 1990. Great not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping musicians get paid for their music.
