Seems a particularly efficient and gracious service... Initially presumed a letter received last month re: several thousand dollars "unpaid wages from UBC" back in 2003 was a hoax... Within a few days of contacting them and proving identity, received legit cheque (including 500 dollars interest:) in the mail.
When I got the letter in the mail I thought it was a hoax too so was hesitant to send my personal info. But no, somehow I missed a $1000 pay cheque from UBC almost 20 years ago. Within about 4 - 5 weeks I got a cheque from BC Unclaimed Property Society. Great service!
