| Description | Amanda Quayle’s practice concentrates on civil litigation in all areas and aspects of law including class actions, commercial litigation, labour and employment, administrative law and insurance.Amanda has acted for many high profile clients including: Monsanto Canada Inc. in the successful defence of the first class action proceeding started in Saskatchewan which involved a claim by organic farmers alleging that the introduction of genetically modified canola resulted in the contamination and elimination of the overseas market for organic canola; Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan in proceedings involving a multi-billion dollar dispute over the ownership of potash reserves in the world’s largest potash mine in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan; and a financial institution in proposed class proceedings in Saskatchewan involving the allegedly anti-competitive surcharges that are charged to merchants for the use of Visa and MasterCard credit cards.Amanda also has extensive experience in pharmaceutical and medical device class action litigation, including representing: Pfizer in a class action proceeding involving the pharmaceuticals Celebrex and Bextra; Bayer in a class action proceeding involving the pharmaceutical Baycol; Mylan Pharmaceuticals ULC in a class action proceeding involving the pharmaceutical Accutane; Atrium Medical Corporation in a class action proceeding involving a medical product known as pelvic mesh; and DJO Canada Inc. and its parent company in a certified national class action involving a medical device used in knee and shoulder surgeries to assist with pain control.COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENTRegina Palliative Care Inc.
