He was posted overseas as a Foreign Service Officer in Canada’s visa program, working in the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia & Malaysia. Returning to Canada, he litigated before the Immigration and Refugee Board & as Department of Justice counsel appeared in the Federal Court of Canada. In 2005 he joined the provincial government, where he managed immigration program & policy portfolios including BC’s Provincial Nominee Program. Benton currently advises & represents a wide-range of business, professional & employer clients on immigration matters, prepares & files a variety of temporary & permanent visa applications. |
Did just fine with my immigration process. It was (in my opinion) overpriced for a relatively straightforward immigration application. But lawyers are always expensive, so I'm not going to rate too harshly on that. Otherwise, it was a smooth and successful process.
