| Description | Celia Melanson graduated from Dalhousie University in 1985 and was admitted to the Bar in Nova Scotia in 1986. Celia practiced in the law department of CN Rail in Moncton, New Brunswick from 1986 until 1988 when she left for private practice. Celia practiced with Archibald Morley in Amherst, Nova Scotia from 1988 until 1995 when she set up a sole practice in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. In October of 2018 Celia was joined in practice by her associate, Chelsea Cottreau. Celia’s preferred areas of practice are Real Property, Wills and Estates and Family Law. Celia has served a term on Bar Council for the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and has served on various committees for the society. Celia is also active in her community as a volunteer at the local food bank, serving on various committees and boards of directors and as a member of two Shelburne instrumental musical ensembles, the Shelburne Long Boat Association, the Roseway Re-enactment Association, and the Shelburne Curling Centre. |
