| Description | Harveen has over 20 years of experience providing legal counsel and transactional expertise in private practice and regulatory environments. Her previous experience includes advising companies on securities and corporate law compliance, continuous disclosure and financial disclosure obligations as well as drafting legislation and policy and deciding on exemptive relief applications. Harveen also has several years of experience efficiently and effectively investigating and evaluating complaints in regulatory environments, and preparing opinions of fact and law when she determined a breach had occurred and a sanction was warranted. She was a member of the Bylaws and Rules Revision Subcommittee for a well-known Vancouver recreational and sports facility where she was one of three members rewriting the bylaws and rules, including drafting a large portion of the disciplinary rules, which will now survive a court challenge.Harveen provides legal advice and prepares documents on all matters related to corporate finance and securities law compliance. She advises on investigations and enforcement actions involving possible breaches of securities laws, including illegal distributions, misrepresentation, fraud, and insider trading. She represents clients before regulatory bodies such as the BC Securities Commission or in the Courts of British Columbia.
