| Profile | Jesse grew up in Edmonton before moving to Vancouver in 2007 to complete a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of British Columbia. He moved to Calgary in 2011 to attend law school at University of Calgary, where he developed an interest in family law though his volunteer work with Student Legal Assistance and the Children’s Legal Education Resource Centre. Jesse articled at a Calgary law firm where he had the opportunity to work in the areas of oil & gas law, Aboriginal law, and corporate commercial law, before being called to the bar in 2015. Jesse takes a client-centred approach to the practice of law. He understands that navigating the legal system can be one of the most difficult experiences his clients will ever have. He strongly believes that it is his job to ensure that his clients have a clear understanding of the legal issues arising from their situation, so that they can make practical, reasonable decisions. Jesse is a dedicated volunteer and sits on the board of the The New Gallery, Calgary’s longest running artist-run centre. He also continues to volunteer for the Children’s Legal Education Resource Centre, as well as Calgary Legal Guidance. In his spare time, Jesse enjoys crossfit, hot yoga, and attending exhibition openings at some of Calgary’s exceptional artist-run centres. |

I would highly recommend Lindsay Ewens-Jones and her team. Lindsay is very knowledgeable and is able to communicate clearly the pros and cons of each available option. She responds quickly when situations arise and seeks the best possible resolution. Lindsay genuinely cares about her clients.
Unfortunately, due to an extremely long divorce process, I had the opportunity to work with a number of the lawyers at this firm. Every one of them was exceptional. I felt like my needs were addressed and my expectations were managed well.
This was the second law firm I hired and I can confirm that you get what you pay for. The hourly rates with Jones Divorce Law were higher but there was no dithering. Once we decided on a process the lawyers were quick to complete what needed to be done on my end. I believe that even at the higher hourly rate I saved money over staying with my previous lawyer who had a tendency to draw things out so not much was achieved for my money.
I highly recommend this firm.
Lindsay and her team were extremely professional with my divorce process. They were very fast with responses and knew what they were doing. Since this was my first time hiring a lawyer for personal matters I believe her rates may have been on the higher end, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Definitely recommend Lindsay.
As much as one can enjoy the divorce process, having Lindsay along for the ride was great. I received honest and accurate opinions all along the way. I've recommended Lindsay, and will continue to, for friends needing reliable legal advice.
