On September 19, I was checking my bank’s statements, it came to my knowledge through a letter that was sent to me in May that CIBC decided to increase my line of credit interest rate by 3% effective June . I called Michelle 11 am at the call centre ( I believe was in Saskatchewan or Manitoba), commenting about this increase. After reviewing my history and different information, she wondered why is that happened. She promised to send a letter to her supervisor to reverse back my interest and said it will take 7-10 business days. Exactly that happened after one week the interest rate was reversed back.
