| Description | Patricia practices exclusively in family law, including representing clients in negotiating separation agreements, in mediation or in litigation before the courts. She also negotiates and drafts cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts and represents clients in adoption matters. Trained in collaborative family law, Patricia is committed to assisting her clients in determining the resolution means that best suits them and their families and encourages the use of the alternative dispute resolution where appropriate. Patricia’s goal is to guide her clients through challenging circumstances towards the positive, cost-effective and expeditious resolution that best allows them to move forward.Patricia articled with Mills & Mills LLP and was invited to join the firm as an Associate in 2015. Prior to her time at Mills & Mills LPP, she worked as a supervisor at Community Legal Services, representing clients before the courts in criminal and civil matters, as well as before the Human Rights Tribunal, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and the Landlord and Tenant Board. At Western Law, Patricia was named to the Dean’s Honour List and was recipient of the Genest Murray Advocacy Award and the Diana Marjury-Cheryl Waldrum Award. She was also the coordinator of the Public Legal Education program, assistant coordinator of the Dispute Resolution Centre and a member of the Walsh Family Law Moot team. |
