My favourite of the Ski Big 3 resorts. Easily accessible via 20 min shuttle from Banff and with an amazing range of runs for all levels. This suited myself and my partner perfectly - as I am still a beginner skier whilst my partner is smashing the double diamonds. I liked that there was a green run all the way to the bottom of the mountain which was able to be accomplished by someone of my level. Some of my favourite beginner slopes were Rock Isle Road, Dell Valley, the 34 Cat Track and Meadow Park. The food and shop facilities were also great. Amazing views from the gondola up.
From the organized and thoughtful parking attendants to the shuttle bus to take you to the gondola- they’ve got you covered before the skiing even starts!
Heated and sheltered chairlifts, snow that is waist deep in areas (seek out the Chutes- only if you’re brave enough) and endless sunshine- fun is only a lift ticket away.
Get your sunshine card and the first fourth and seventh ride is free- not to mention the great discounts on food and gear.
Favourite place to snowboard coming from the city. I've spent a lot of weekends here and the snow is always great. Eat at the Mad Trapper's, it's basic pub food but satisfies the hole after a glorious morning on the mountain in a cozy setting. I love Sunshine!
Great place to ski/snowboard. For the snowboarders, I felt that you really needed to be careful with what runs you took due to some runs being a bit flat and having to skateboard a little bit until you got going... But as long as you stick to the signs where you see a snowboarding dude, you'll be fine.
The Skiing was Great. I've been there 10 times and overall Everytime was a blast. Almost always was great snow and not as many people were skiing over my skis than say when I'm going to Red River. The Food was Great, The Staff were Kind, and not once did I get any problems. 20/10 would recommend anyone who enjoys skiing either if you like taking it easy on the greens or racing down the Double blacks and Blacks.
