| Description | Stacey is an experienced bilingual corporate/commercial and alternative dispute resolution lawyer who focuses on assisting Indigenous peoples and other individuals, organizations and governments across Canada and internationally seeking solutions for their business, economic development, intellectual property, and art and cultural heritage aspirations. Stacey has worked on business, dispute resolution and cultural heritage matters at firms in Canada, the United States and France. She helps clients create corporate structures, fiscal and governance policies, and commercial agreements that fit their specific business and community needs. She assists clients with protecting cultural and intellectual property rights through policies and commercial agreements, and with repatriating their cultural material. Stacey has created and taught courses at Stanford University on Indigenous cultural heritage protection and repatriation, and on illicit art trade globally. Through her background as a practitioner and academic, Stacey has developed a holistic approach to helping clients handle complex legal, ethical, historical, cultural, financial and organizational issues within business and government relationships and dispute resolution processes. |
