Description | Suzanne is a family law lawyer, accredited family law mediator, collaborative professional and Hear the Child Interviewer based in Victoria BC. She prefers to help clients work collaboratively to resolve matters, using Court in only exceptional situations.
She worked for Canada’s Department of Justice, a large National Law Firm, and a Child Rights and Development Institute based at a University, before combining her expertise into a family law practice. Suzanne has led child rights based initiatives in Canada and internationally, such as the adoption of the Hear the Child Interview model, the Child Protection Partnership to address online child sexual exploitation in Brazil, Canada and Thailand, and the Canadian Bar Association’s Child Rights Toolkit for lawyers. She has been an invited speaker at numerous events including the National Judicial Institute’s Family Law Program on Children, Federation of Law Societies National Family Law Conference and World Congress Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children.
