I have been to city hall many times through the years. The staff members in planning and inspection/permit departments are very helpful and patient. My questions/problems were complex sometime not very clear since I did not know better. I found everyone that I have dealt with was very professional and willing to help. It is also true for the clerks in the fire department.

 JJ was so awesome helping us today! We will ask for her everytime we go from now on. We had an awful experience last time we were in with another lady in the office and this time we got the help we needed and were provided with all the stuff we needed for our permit that the other lady was not even willing to look for. JJ thanks you for turning the experience around for us we really appreciate you. Keep up the good work!

 Nov 27 a tree on the road allowance fell on our driveway. We phoned Parks And Recreation and they came out immediately and bucked up the tree and cleaned up the mess. Thanks Mike.

 Leanne in the Inspections Branch is very helpful and kind. I also had good experiences with Jarilee Powell and Kevin Gill. They don't have an easy job, but they are willing to work with Homeowners like me. The building inspectors also have a good helpful approach. better then downtown Victoria!
