Lynne Butler

I was called to the Alberta bar in 1986 and the bar of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2016.

I am the author of 10 books for the public on estate-related topics and one book about the development of wills law during the 19th century.

I am the former host of the weekly “The Law Show” on VOCM radio. I have been interviewed on estate-related issues by BNN, CityTV, CPAC, CBC Radio, VOCM Radio, the Wall Street Journal, the Globe and Mail, the Vancouver Province, the Edmonton Journal, the Toronto Star, the Montreal Gazette, the St. JOhn’s Telegram, Macleans Magazine, Canadian Lawyer Magazine, Advisors’ Edge Magazine, and numerous other magazines and websites.

I am the chair of the Wills and Estates section of the Bar Admission Committee for Newfoundland and Labrador, and I am an online Learning Group Facilitator for the Bar Admission Course for Alberta.

I am the editor of MC2, the national magazine of Mensa Canada.
