 Hello, I recently had an accident which wasnt my fault. The intact insurance gave us rent a car only for 3 days since then we dont have wheels. They declared my 2011 chewy equinox total loss and offered $9.200. My dealer hyundai fredericton had told me i have a gap insurance which could pay off the remaining financing $6.800 however he told me they cant because i am in a positive equity? Not sure why. I already paid to TD Autofinance approximately $19.000 in 4 years. They charged me $26.000 total financing for an old 2011 chewy equinox. Lots of interest charges. If i would pay to TD remaining $6.800 financing after i lost my vehichle in that accident then i would get only $2300 from $9.200 that would be really insane and injustice. The laws should not be made to protect the interests of greedy businesses and people but for the victim families and persons. TD paid to dealer around $14.000 and already received $19.000 from me so far. So why this accident should be only my lost?? Thats unfair. Can you help me please? I cant even cash the check because TD would take $6.800. And we do need cash to purchase another wheels. Thank you
