Although I'm from Europe and study there and just been in this place as a visitor, it sure did get a great impression! All modern, well organized and greatly equipped. Although I didn't get a chance to familiarize myself with studying process here, definitely recommend considering studying here
The University of Alberta (also known as U of A and UAlberta) is a public research university located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 1908 by Alexander Cameron Rutherford,[6] the first premier of Alberta, and Henry Marshall Tory,[7] its first president. Its enabling legislation is the Post-secondary Learning Act.[8] The university is considered a “Comprehensive academic and research university” (CARU), which means that it offers a range of academic and professional programs, which generally lead to undergraduate and graduate level credentials, and have a strong research focus.
In my opinion the U of A has some of the nicest buildings in Edmonton. I am a photographer and love bringing my clients to the grounds for either wedding or engagement pictures. If you are not here for photos it is just a nice relaxing place to walk around, especially in fall.

Best hospital in Edmonton. All great doctors and nurses. Great facilities. A great work place as well..
