| Description | Robert’s experience has been focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and general corporate governance, and he has acted for purchasers and vendors in connection with the acquisition or sale of assets and companies in the technology, film and movie, and marine transportation industries, amongst others. He has also advised borrowers and purchasers on the financing of the purchase and construction of containerships and worked with founders in the set-up of private equity and venture capital funds, and Robert is familiar with limited partnership structures and venture capital/debt investments.Prior to becoming a lawyer, Robert was a researcher in the field of molecular genetics and investigated lipid biosynthesis in plant systems. |
We used Synergy to incorporate a professional corporation on a recommendation from our accountant. Our experience is that they are able to get the job done, but timeliness is sometimes an issue, especially around invoicing. On the topic of invoicing, fees were not disclosed to us beforehand, so taking both the delayed invoicing plus "we don't know what services we are ultimately paying for", you can get some fairly unpleasant surprises. In winding up our company, they mailed the invoice to our defunct address. Nearly seven months later, we receive an email stating we had not paid! Naturally, we paid immediately upon reviewing our records, but the whole process seemed hardly professional. While no major concerns otherwise, I would probably not use again given the choice.
